Bro. George WASHINGTON was the Worshipful Master of Alexandria Lodge at the same time he was inaugurated the first president of the U.S.A.

Bro. Benjamin FRANKLIN was Grand Master of the State of Pennsylvania. He also published the first Masonic book in the United States – Anderson’s Constitutions. He was also one of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence, as was Bro. John Hancock, later Grand Master of the State of Massachusetts.

Bro. Harry S. TRUMAN, whilst Grand Master of the State of Missouri, signed the charter of the Missouri Lodge of Research. He also served as it’s Master at the same time that he was President of the United States.
